about us

Who are we?

Positively sharing is a community-based HIV/sexual health charity based in Lagos.

What we do

We provide HIV prevention and support services for people living with HIV as well as sexual health services.

Our History

PositivelySharing is an offshoot of Sharing Love Ministries a non-profit, faith-based organization created in Kigali (post-conflict Rwanda) in 1998.

In Kigali, we partnered with local NGOs and religious bodies to assist vulnerable groups, particularly genocide widows, single mothers and their children as well as female child-headed families.

In Tanzania, we worked in partnership with Mount Meru Regional Hospital, Arusha for well over one decade to provide nutritional support and distributed non-food items once a month to the Tuamuke Group (an association of People Living with HIV and AIDS which (PLWH) it created.

Today, we operate in Lagos, Nigeria.

Our goal:

To reduce HIV and STIs transmission rates by

– offering HIV and STI tests;

-helping women living with HIV on ARVs to self-manage their condition;

-educating adolescents about the importance of sexual health.

Our vision

A world where people living with HIV enjoy healthy and good quality lives free of stigma and where good sexual health is a reality.

Our mission

  • To contribute to the reduction of undiagnosed HIV and late diagnosis of HIV in Nigeria.
  • To support and empower people living with HIV to lead healthy, independent lives.
  • To empower individuals to make positive choices and enjoy good sexual health.
  • To amplify the voices of people living with and affected by HIV in public and political arenas in order to reduce stigma and discrimination.
