Around 12,000 blood products contaminated with HIV are thought to have been sold by one of China‘s largest medical blood products manufacturer to hospitals around the country.

China’s National Health Commission released a statement on Tuesday, ordering hospitals to immediately suspend use of the batch.

The faulty batch, produced by Shanghai Xinxing, comprised of 12,229 bottles of plasma due to expire in June 2021. Read More
