In his annual State of the Union address, US President Donald Trump announced his administration’s plan to end the HIV epidemic in the United States by 2030. The main goal of the plan is to reduce new infections by 75 percent over the next five years and end the epidemic.

Around 40,000 Americans contract the disease each year. Globally, 36.9 million people have HIV and 5,000 more get it every day.  Read More
