The advocacy of International Women’s Day doesn’t start and stop on March 8, nor at the end of Women’s Month. All year round, women still earn less than men, and in rural areas, they work longer hours “due to additional reproductive, domestic, and care responsibilities.” Let’s not forget the persistence of gender discrimination and disparity in the workplace, which we mentioned in the first part of this series.
