AIDS, TB, and malaria are three of the deadliest diseases the world has ever known. In 2017 alone, 940,000 died from AIDS, 1.6 million from TB, and 435,000 from malaria. These diseases pose both threats to global health security and the lives of girls and women in developing countries, where 75% of new HIV cases are among girls and women age 15-24.
