Do I really know “me”?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Let’s revisit old posts: you know who you are, what God thinks of you,  why He created you and probably who he  created you to be.  Just to reassure “you” , ask yourself this ‘simple’ question: Who am I? Rather than reel off assumed answers, kindly pause, take time to think and deeply reflect before responding; if possible, write down your answers.

So, who are you? Are you satisfied with your answers? Do you know and are proud of “you” or do you still create a new identity for yourself depending on who is asking and the impression you want to create? Be careful!  That could steadily move you farther and farther away from who God created you to be.

When you know who you are, you can easily reject the negative opinions of others, labels society places on you and the negative thoughts and behaviours that come with them. When you know who you are, you are free from the pressure and stress to impress and are not moved by what people think or say about you. Furthermore, nobody can use  or take advantage of you.

Know “you”!  Then you do not need anyone to validate what  you know: God made you unique and that is what makes you different.
