Purpose in your praise?

Reading Time: < 1 minute

“Praise the Lord!” Did you just say hallelujah? You can do better than that.  Praising also involves declaring who God is, remembering and extolling Him for what He does and has done…

Praise the Lord is a frequently repeated- appears 33 times in the KJV -but, sadly, highly neglected biblical command. However, it is not one to ignore. Regrettably, the command has become a cliché for some.

Pause. Recall God’s goodness, mercy and all He has done for you. Count or, better still, list His blessings. If doing that does not cause you to well up with gratitude and praise, then I do not know what will.

As you joyfully declare His attributes and whole-heartedly sing of His wonderous works and benefits, you must remember that He also requires that you praise Him with your word and deeds. What does your work say about you?

Whether you currently lack direction or are struggling with its execution, do not forget to thank Him for picking and equipping you to fulfil a unique and special purpose for His Kingdom. Rejoice and be glad in Him as you do what He created you to do!

Cultivate a lifestyle of praise as you wait to fulfil your eternal occupation of joining others to praise Him forever. Praise Him with all your heart continually, in all situations with lifted hands, dancing and instruments, with singing.

You breathe to praise Him, “PRAISE THE LORD!”
