India, China, Nigeria, Ghana, and six other countries rank among the top 10 countries with the highest number of such international students.<\/p>\n<div id=\"v-gazettengr-0\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\n<div id=\"_vdo_ads_player_ai_25112\" class=\"vdo_video_unit vdo_floating\">\n<div id=\"vdoai_ad_container_vdo_ai_7762_5209\">\n<div id=\"vdo_ai_7762_ima-controls-div\" class=\"vdo_ai_7762_ima-controls-div ima-controls-div\">\n<div id=\"vdo_ai_7762_ima-play-pause-div\" class=\"vdo_ai_7762_ima-play-pause-div ima-play-pause-div ima-playing\">Immigration News Canada reported on Thursday that<\/div>\n<div id=\"vdo_ai_7762_ima-fullscreen-div\" class=\"vdo_ai_7762_ima-fullscreen-div ima-fullscreen-div ima-non-fullscreen\"><em>\u201cIn a shocking revelation, close to 50,000 international students who were issued study permits to pursue higher education in Canada were reported as \u2018no-shows\u2019 by the colleges and universities where they were supposed to be enrolled, according to government data from spring 2024,\u201d<\/em> Immigration News Canada reported on Thursday.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>It added stated further that <em>\u201cThis figure, representing 6.9% of all\u00a0international students\u00a0tracked by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), highlights an alarming trend that has sparked nationwide discussions about the effectiveness of Canada\u2019s international student compliance system.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\"><\/div>\n<p>India ranked first on the list with about 20,000 students who failed to show up in the respective Canadian universities they enrolled, followed by China with about 4,200 students.<\/p>\n<div class=\"google-auto-placed ap_container\"><ins class=\"adsbygoogle adsbygoogle-noablate\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-7675530425486834\" data-adsbygoogle-status=\"done\" data-ad-status=\"unfilled\"><\/p>\n<div id=\"aswift_2_host\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/saharareporters.com\/sites\/default\/files\/styles\/focal_point_325x195\/public\/2025-01\/50000-International-Students.jpeg?h=6f3285a6&amp;itok=EQlCqBJa\" alt=\"file\" width=\"407\" height=\"244\" \/><\/div>\n<p><\/ins><\/div>\n<p>Nigeria ranked third with about 3,900 students, while Ghana ranked fourth with about 2,700 students.
