What are your views of you? Are they lovely and admirable, do you consistently praise and encourage yourself or do you judge or devalue yourself? And, what does God think of you? Though what you think of you is important and matters more than what others think of you, what God thinks of you- who He thinks and what He says you are- is what matters most.
God’s thoughts towards you are not of evil; His innumerable precious thoughts are of peace to give you hope and a good future. God is always mindful of you! The devil may try to confuse you, the media may mislead you, and people may wrongly label you; DO NOT believe or “think” their lies and do not think of yourself what God does not think of you.
Also, remember, you are what you think. Do you need to change your perception of you? If yes, begin to align your thinking with His; meditate on who He thinks and His word says you are; claim his thoughts towards you and begin to think of yourself what He thinks of you.
Self-identity is largely influenced by what the people close to you think about you. Eliminate self-condemnation by making Jesus the closest person in your life.

Great reflection to think through what we have accumulated in our personal lives. Sometimes our worst enemy is our inner critic, who will try to diminish every good thing arising in our lives. In alignment with Gods word we should check and evaluate our thought pattern and see what we are carrying. Labels imposed on us by community (people) should not be our identity, but Gods word and his truth about us should be the main standard of our value.

I truly believe that what God think of me matters the most considering that he knew me even before I was formed in my Mother’s womb. All that is required is for me to continously seek his face as He allows His will for me to be done.

How many people say out loud negative things about themselves from their own mouth? Very wide topic, I think I am fearfully made in God’s image but sometimes when passing through challenges/difficulties we are often tempted to think the opposite but what’s matter is to align our thoughts with God’s word
As much as we can’t really overlook other people’s opinions about us, we should be able to mention a few definite things about ourselves. Most importantly, I think we should always view ourselves in the light of God’s words about us irrespective of our past and the opinion of others. Overlook the negative side and forge on
Good morning good people. Oh thank you Lola for bringing up this interesting topic.
I think that we should also discuss how cultures influence the way we think of ourselves. I am of African origin and still struggle to understand why most African cultures mistake confidence and strong self esteem for arrogance and/or lack of humility. Where I come from and for many other African cultures that I learnt from my fellow Africans that I had the privilege of working with in London UK, we grow up being told off by the adults that we shouldn’t speak up, should not show that we’re knowledgeable, capable in public especially for women. I feel that as a woman, I had to fight twice or more compare to men in order to grow and develop my confidence and self esteem. My question is: what are we doing to change that culture so that our children and grandchildren don’t inherit a culture that put down instead of building up and praising?
This was very eye opening. I’m starting to realize that what God thinks of me is the most important opinion. I like to think of myself as a proud person but also a people pleaser so sometimes it’s hard for me to say no to things, but I’m starting to understand that it’s okay to disagree with things you don’t believe in or support and it’s okay to tone down your pride and be the bigger person.

Very inspiring. This has showed me that God is the most important in all situations and what he thinks of me matters the most. I’m starting to know my worth and believe in my self the way God believes me
I think honestly that when God thinks of me, His heart goes pitta pan! Pitta Pan!
That makes me know HE thinks the world if me. Let me tell a story here: A 4year old was in her bedroom during a thunderstorm- her parents went in finally to check on her to make sure she was fine. Her dad was outraged when he found the 4yr old standing on the window seal with her hands out & smiling . Her dad yelled at her! The lightning & thunder is dangerous get back in bed! What are you doing? You could fall out!! He yelled. She turned around looked at him and SAID GOD’S TRYING TO TAKE MY PICTURE! And she continued posing! So! I am like that child at heart. Playfully loving me because HE first loved me. With all my faults & mistakes HE sees beyond that e ought to free me to be ME! So I enjoy being me.
The sad thing is that society lives on the Opinion of others to validate them. The true God like person, carries and support people. Believing that they are showing God’s love. So yes God’s say of me matters dearly because society has grown to be selfish, lover of self and cold. What God calls me, matters dearly and I I must feed my mind, and heart with truth of God. Very instructive. A person’s faith determines how well they can ponder on creation and begin to think of what God had in mind about them, and not what others (or themselves) think. Many people can easily get caught in the web. It’s a journey that I am progressing in on a daily basis.
This is very deep and thought provoking dear. I think we hurt ourselves more than anyone could ever do by the continous, negative thoughts about our selfes. May the Lord help us create new, beautuful images of who we truly are before the eyes of God. Hallellujah!
