Albert's Sermon Illustrations: Father's Love Letter

It was Father’s Day a few weeks ago and we had the opportunity to appreciate earthly fathers. Did we  also spend that day or  the month of June thanking our heavenly Father for all He does for us? Do not get me wrong, God deserves thanks and praise every single hour of every single day, but going an extra mile in June spending time reflecting on the image of God as a Father who oozes mercy and goodness is definitely a good idea.

We must never lose sight of the fact that our heavenly Father is the Great Provider who produced water from a rock, rained down manna every morning and quail every evening.  He also sent a raven to feed His prophet during a season of famine and continues to provide  new mercies every morning, answers prayers in unconventional manners and still shows up when we least expect it.

God, the Maker of all things, is our heavenly Father and we are His children; the Father of Creation, is also our Father in heaven. How awesome is that!

No matter your situation or status, God’s Fatherly love remains consistent and unconditional and His plan for your life remains unchanged.

Give thanks to Him always, forget not his benefits!
