What is that one thing that dominates your thoughts, consumes your mind and, ultimately, determines your action(s) and controls your life?
How much time do you spend chatting on WhatsApp, scrolling through Facebook, Tik Tok and Instagram feeds for entertainment, connections and products? Are you glued to the television for hours watching soaps/series or binge-watching reality shows on Netflix? Or are you struggling with work-life balance and allowing work to distract you from meeting your spiritual goals?
Though social media is not inherently harmful, we must ensure it does not prevent us from engaging in meaningful practices such as prayer and meditation. Prioritizing faith over and above any social media app, distractions, obsessions or fixation is important because the time spent praying and meditating nurtures our spirit in ways that non-spiritual posts, chats and work may not.
In a world filled with distractions, it is essential to identity those distractions pulling our focus away from God and strategically devise ways to prioritize our relationship with Him. Consciously setting aside time for prayer, fasting, worship and immersing ourselves in the Scripture helps to deepen our relationship with Him and to nurture our faith.
What is that one distraction preventing you from fixing your eyes on Him?

God is everything, He is all that we need.
We are lost without Him.
Work -life balance and digital distraction. May God help me to be intentional and consistent with Him.
I am trying to minimise what I watch on social media to what can help me grow in the Holy spirit, there is a lot out there that will amount to entertaining ones appetite for knowledge or just wanting to know what is going on out there in the world politically. We were told that, we must not entangle ourselves with the affairs of the world if we are to grow spiritually, and I am beginning to understand how important it is.
One thing that predominantly occupies my mind is , the fact that as i am growing older i know i will give an account of the life i am living and I want to finish the race well, its important for me tom understand why i am here and what my maker requires of me so I can do it
My WhatsApp status is my biggest distraction.
More than football ⚽️ (soccer ) or any other modern day Collosseum in firm of radio and TV stations, are Social Media the biggest distraction channels today…
Can be used for good, however they can also take significant time away from the most important things in life…
May He help us focus and keep our eyes on the most important things, 🙏
Is there anyone out the who binge-watches reality shows on Netflix like me?
