In Christ, you have a new identity- you are a “new creation” (2 Cor. 5:17)- and enjoy a new way of living! Having trusted in His sacrifice for your salvation and been redeemed by His precious blood, you are now His beloved Child. Your old life is dead, permanently crucified with Christ, replaced with a new life you live through Christ that aligns with His purpose. You are now complete in Him by faith and no longer need to seek fulfilment in temporary things.
Christ lives in you and you abide in Him. You depend on Him for guidance, sustenance and strength. With your life intertwined with His, you now live, move and have your being in Him (Acts 17:28) and, by His power, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37) with victory over challenges and difficulties and can, therefore, do ALL things through Him for He gives you strength (Phil 4:`3).
As His child, you have not only been transformed to a new person in Him and have put off your old nature, you were also crucified with Him and have openly declared your faith through baptism when you were buried in the waters of baptism with Him and rose from the waters with a fresh start and a renewed life!
